Series Two of the Union Bank and Trust Company of Eastern Pennsylvania is made up of material from the People’s Bank of Bethlehem. A reorganization of the Gosztonyi Savings and Trust during the Depression resulted in a new corporation, Gosztonyi Bank, on August 7, 1934. On December 12, 1939, after the last Gosztonyi had left the bank, the name was changed to the People’s Bank of Bethlehem.
